Curriculum Map
This project is a sample of a prospective curriculum map I have laid out for a school year based on a 90 day semester. For this project, I have decided to base the content for a typical American History class in high school. I have provided a download link to the document down below if it needs to be looked at in greater detail.

Unit Map Sample
This project is an example of a potential Unit Map and five-topic lesson plan that could be used in my future classroom. This particular unit covers the topic of the American Civil War and is designed to last twelve school days with each lesson lasting around two to three days. This unit plan was designed with the previous project, the curriculum map, in mind and is based off of the Civil War unit in that project.

Lesson Plan Sample #1
This is a sample lesson plan is based around the beginnings of the American Civil War. In this lesson, students will analyze three different primary sources surrounding the topics of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, the Missouri Compromise, and the idea of popular sovereignty. The main inquiry objective for this lesson is for students to practice their primary source analysis skills.

Lesson Plan Sample #2
This is a sample lesson plan built around the concept of life as a slave in the South. This lesson plan focuses on using musical, literary, and visual sources to help students create their own arguments about what life as a slave was like. This plan also covers prominent topics and figures such as Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad.

Lesson Plan Sample #3
This is a sample lesson plan about the end of the Civil War and the beginning of the Reconstruction Era in the South. Students will participate in primary source analysis and a summative assessment in the form of a Kahoot quiz. This lesson covers topics like the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments, Freedmen's Bureau, and Reconstruction Plans.
